A luminous and original view of the town of Pirna with details of daily life in the port area, by Bernardo Bellotto. Prominent is the river Elbe, while in the foreground is an encampment with women hanging out freshly washed laundry. On the other bank are buildings, partly covered by the shadow cast by the sun. The sky is clear but there are a few white clouds on the horizon. The painting is dated 1753. There is another variant of this painting.
