Original and luminous eighteenth-century engraving of Walton Bridge, created by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto, in ink on paper. Highlighted on the right side there is the bridge with its first large arch, followed by smaller ones, connecting the opposite bank of the Thames. There are some boats in the river, while on the bank to the right of the painting there are scenes of everyday life. The large tree is depicted in the center, leaning in the wind. The sky features light clouds on the horizon, but the day remains clear.
The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1755. Canaletto also painted other variations of this painting.
