Historical map of the city of Wesel from the late 16th century, created by Georg Braun. It is part of the "Civitates Orbis Terrarum" collection. It is a coloured engraving.
The map shows Wesel with its defensive walls around the whole perimeter. Within the walls the city unfolds with its streets, squares, monuments and churches. It is Wesel as if seen from above, with its cultivated fields outside the city.
The map is part of a private collection.
Georg Braun also known as Brunus or Bruin, was a German cartographer.
