The map illustrates the city of Pesaro, bordered by its high fortification walls along its entire perimeter. Inside are Pesaro's districts and streets, highlighting the main palaces and monuments of the time. Outside the city is cultivated countryside with some rural settlements.
Joan Blaeu also Johannes Blaeu, was a Dutch cartographer and publisher.
