Historical map of Palermo created in the sixteenth century by Georg Braun. It is a colored engraving. The map is part of the "Civitates Orbis Terrarum" collection.
The map illustrates the city of Palermo as it was urbanized at the end of the sixteenth century, with its neighborhoods and a view of the port. At the bottom of the map there is a very detailed legend. The map also reproduces the rectangular defensive walls of Palermo.
Georg Braun, also known as Brunus or Bruin, was a German cartographer.
