The map illustrates the city of Antequera viewed from a distance, perched on a hill, with its houses and monuments. The castle walls are also highlighted. In the background there are mountains, while closer up there are cultivated fields with two farmers observing the landscape.
Georg Braun, also known as Brunus or Bruin, was a German cartographer.
