Historical map of the Ottoman Empire from the mid-seventeenth century created by Frederick de Wit. It is an engraving (etching).
The map illustrates the Arabian Peninsula, Turkey, Southern Europe, and Greece, with their most important rivers and cities. The entire region is delimited by colored segments. In the lower left corner, there is the inscription "Imperium Turcicum" supported by allegories, and above them, pashas.
Frederick de Wit was a Dutch cartographer and artist.
