Historical map of the Ottoman Empire from the mid-17th century, created by Frederick de Wit. It is an engraving (etching).
The map shows the Arabian Peninsula, Turkey, southern Europe and Greece, with their rivers and most important cities. The whole region is outlined by coloured borders. In the lower left corner is the inscription "Imperium Turcicum", supported by allegorical figures, with pashas above.
Frederick de Wit was a Dutch cartographer and artist.
