The artwork

Historical map of Andalusia from the mid-17th century, created by Frederick de Wit. It is an engraving (etching).

The map shows part of Spain, namely Andalusia, with its rivers and most important cities. The whole region is outlined by a coloured border. In the upper corners of the map are two coats of arms of the region, while in the lower left corner Andalusia, Seville and Córdoba are named in Latin.
