Historical map of Silesia produced by Georg Matthäus Seutter. It is a colour lithograph.
The map uses four colours (green, yellow, pink, white) to show the allegiance of the parts of Silesia, which is divided into areas of influence. At top right Bohemian knights are depicted, while at bottom right are coats of arms and banners.
The map is on display at the Bibliothèque des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, France.
Matthäus Seutter (Augsburg, 20 September 1678 – March 1757) was a German cartographer.
In Nuremberg, where he was apprenticed as an engraver under the more renowned JB Homann. In the early 1700s Seutter left Homann to set up his own independent map-publishing house in Augsburg.
