The map illustrates Prussia, outlined in yellow, with rivers, mountain ranges, and major cities indicated. It depicts the part of Prussia at that time that had an outlet to the Baltic Sea. In the upper left corner is the coat of arms of Prussia. On the opposite side, in the right corner, there is a legend.
Joan Blaeu, also Johannes Blaeu, was a Dutch cartographer and publisher.
