Map of the city of Lille from the late 16th century created by Georg Braun and Hogenberg Franz. It is a colored engraving.
The map shows the city of Lille as it was urbanistically organized in the late 16th century. One can notice the square roughly in the center of the map, with the church. The map illustrates the main monuments of Lille, while beyond the city walls there are cultivated fields. In the upper corners, the coats of arms of Lille are drawn, while in the left corner there is a legend.
Georg Braun, also known as Brunus or Bruin, was a German cartographer.
