Historical double-hemisphere world map from the late 19th century; it is a coloured engraving.
The map shows the world as it was known in the first half of the 19th century. Both meridians and parallels are shown. The two globes appear suspended, and around them are the zodiac globes (upper corners) and the eclipses (lower right corner). At the top of the map is a scientific text explaining the Earth.
