This exquisite map, published in Venice by Vincenzo Coronelli, offers a detailed representation of the Vicenza territory, extending from the Alps to the Gulf of Venice. The cartographic work is rich in detail: rivers, mountain passes, valleys, cities, roads, and regional borders are depicted with extraordinary precision. It is further embellished with numerous heraldic coats of arms and a large inset featuring a panoramic plan of the city of Vicenza; the city of Verona is also visible in the lower left.

Coronelli, a prominent figure in Baroque cartography, was not only a geographer but also a skilled engraver and scientist. Famous for his impressive terrestrial and celestial globes, created for sovereigns like Louis XIV, he elevated Venetian cartography to levels of excellence. This map is a perfect example of his unmistakable style: precise, decorative, and scientifically rigorous. A rare and precious work for collectors and scholars of historical Italian cartography.

Our reproductions are faithful to the original and printed on precious Amalfi paper.

It is a paper made exclusively from cotton fibers, thick and naturally porous, yet soft to the touch, with characteristic frayed edges that attest to its artisanal craftsmanship.

It is still made today using ancient medieval techniques in the workshops of Amalfi.
