An original and very fine work depicting the Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John, painted by Correggio (Antonio Allegri). This oil painting on panel can be dated to around 1518 and is held in the Museo del Prado in Madrid.
The painting was brought to Spain by Elisabeth Farnese when she moved from Parma as the second wife of King Philip V.
