An original and exquisite work depicting the Madonna and Child with Saints, painted by Botticelli.
The panel is considered the first monumental work commissioned from Botticelli, as well as one of the first altarpieces he painted. It is datable to around 1470 because of its stylistic affinities with the painting of Fortitude (also in the Uffizi collection), executed that year.
