An original and very fine work depicting the Madonna and Child, painted by Correggio (Antonio Allegri).
The Madonna and Child is an oil painting on canvas datable to around 1512-1514 and held in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
The work was rediscovered in 1928 in Salzburg Castle and donated to the Viennese museum. The attribution to Correggio is uncertain.
