Legio IV Italica Roman Vexillum

The Legio IV Italica was one of the most famous Roman legions of the imperial age, created by Emperor Marcus Aurelius in 168 AD, at a crucial moment for the defense of the Danubian borders. Its name, "Italica", recalls its Italian origins and its strong ties to Rome's military tradition.
