A marvellous, clear view of a landscape with a dead tree, an etching on laid paper by Bernardo Bellotto. The building on the left of the picture dominates the scene, and at its foot a winding lane leads to a distant village. A little further on, in the centre, is a tree with dry branches, surrounded by another shrub with large leaves. Behind these trees is the village church. The day is clear and serene. The picture is undated.
The painting is on display at the National Gallery of Art.
