An original and very fine photograph depicting La Velata, painted by Raphael.
La Velata is a painting by Raphael, datable to around 1516 and held in the Galleria Palatina of Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
The work was in Florence in the house of the merchant Matteo Botti, where it was seen by Giorgio Vasari (Le vite), Vincenzo Borghini (Il riposo, 1584) and Bocchi (Bellezze di Firenze, 1591).
