A luminous and original painting of the Magdalenenburg, by Bernardo Bellotto. The sunlit courtyard stands out, laid out on three rising terraces. The sky is clear with few clouds. One of the dominant colours of the painting is green, which Bellotto has shaded with great mastery. Another version of this painting exists with different lighting.
The painting is a detail of a larger work.
