An original and luminous depiction of the interior of a church, in pen and brown ink with grey wash, by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. Prominent is the entrance to the church through an inner colonnade, with a detail of a capital borne by a double column. The entrance leads into the church proper, with the altar at the far end, a flight of steps and figures at prayer. The church's decorations are masterfully painted by Canaletto.
