A romantic and refined painting with a distinctive handling of light depicting a landscape at dusk, made by Jakob Philipp Hackert in 1782. On the right side oxen with a cart can be glimpsed, while in the background the mountains fade and blend into the pink twilight sky. There are a few clouds in the sky, but on the whole it is clear, and there is vegetation on either side.
The painting is on display at the Schlossmuseum, Schloss Friedenstein, in Gotha, Germany.
