An original painting of a hurricane developing in the Roman countryside by Jan Frans van Bloemen, with details of the wind lashing the trees and the rain falling heavily. On the right-hand side is a large tree, while in the background are two mountains with a small village at the bottom of the valley lit by the sun. In the foreground the travellers try to shelter from the hurricane. The painting is in the Baroque style.
The painting is on display at the Galleria Sabauda, Turin.
