A luminous historical view of Rome painted by Gaspare Vanvitelli, depicting a late-September day devoted to the grape harvest. In the background sky and sea meet, while on the land a vineyard extends, with harvesters at work. The day is clear and everyone is busy with their tasks. On the left is the owner’s villa, with workers’ cottages nearby. The main colour of the painting is blue. This picture too is part of the prolific output Vanvitelli produced during his stays in Rome.
