Original and rare 18th-century view of the Grand Canal from Campo San Vio, painted by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. In the foreground there is the Grand Canal, traversed by boats of various sizes. The water was painted by the Canal with shades of light green and blue. Venetian palaces overlook the Grand Canal.
The sky features a few light pink clouds on the horizon. The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1723.
