Rare and original 18th-century ink-on-paper engraving depicting the Grand Canal in Venice, created by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. The canal is prominently featured, bustling with boats of various sizes; along the canal's sides there are beautiful Venetian palaces, arranged side by side. The five churches are depicted, representing various styles, from Baroque to Romanesque. The sky is clear, but there are a few clouds on the horizon.
The work is dated 1732.
