Original 18th-century view of gondoliers near the Rialto Bridge, painted by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. In the foreground, the gondoliers are navigating, introducing tourists to Venice. The day is clear, and the sky is reflected in the water with shades of light green and blue. Behind the gondolas, a section of the Rialto Bridge can be seen. On the bank on this side of the canal, Venetian palaces are reflected in the water.
The work is undated and is exhibited at the Louvre Museum, Paris, France. Another variation of this work, created by Canaletto, exists.
