The work is a lively Cubist interpretation of a military band, rendered with bold brushstrokes and a rich palette of primary colours and earth tones. The musicians, with their red and white plumed hats, are broken down into intersecting geometric shapes, creating a sense of rhythmic movement and fragmentation. The use of angular forms, overlapping planes and the merging of figures and background create a dynamic, expressive composition. The work evokes a sense of patriotism and celebration, capturing the energy and rhythm of the musical performance in a modern, engaging visual language.
