The artwork

Original view of a hunting scene commanded by Ferdinand IV in 1700, painted by Jakob Philipp Hackert. The king, in hunting gear, is riding a horse and hurling a spear at the boar. The moment is fateful, the boar's life is on the line. The dominant color is light brown. The scene is set on an expanse of land, with a grove in the background. The protagonists are the boar and King Ferdinand IV, who are challenging each other.

The painting is exhibited at the Capodimonte Museum in Naples.
