An original and sophisticated painting of King Ferdinand IV's coot hunt, painted by Jakob Philipp Hackert. The scene depicts numerous small boats with hunters intent on shooting coots. Many of them fly in the sky, trying to escape the hunters' shots. In the foreground, several spectators, sitting on the edge of a large, detailed tree, observe and comment on the scene.
The painting is exhibited at the Capodimonte Museum, Naples.
