The map shows all the lunar phases: the Earth is placed at the centre, with the Moon revolving around it, showing its faces over a period of 30 days. Outside the sphere are dense descriptions, including an explanation of the lunar processions. At the upper ends of the map is the Sun-Earth-Moon system in all its possible positions.
