An original and exquisite photograph depicting the Fano Altarpiece, painted by Perugino (Pietro Vannucci).
The Fano Altarpiece is an oil painting on panel (262x215 cm (103.1 x 84.6 in) the main panel, 150x250 the lunette) by Pietro Perugino, dated 1497 and kept until 2021 in the church of Santa Maria Nuova in Fano. In 2023, after restoration carried out by the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, the altarpiece returned to Fano and has since been on display in the local Museo Civico.
