An original view of the English gardens of the Palace of Caserta, with young women lying on the lovely green lawn, made by Jakob Philipp Hackert. In the foreground, besides the women, is the vegetation, in a mixture of soft and vivid colours. The woman in the white dress stands out, perhaps a governess looking after the other, younger girls.
The painting is on display at the Royal Palace ofthe Royal Palace of Caserta.
