Ideal for collectors, a view of the church of Santa Maria in Vallicella in Rome by Lievin Cruyl, dated 1665. Seen from the front, with its columns prominent, the church is the main part of the picture. In front of it is a square with some pilgrims. The detail on the left side of a terrace where some gardeners were tending a climbing plant is fine.
The artwork is on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
