Eighteen Views of Rome: Sketch for San Giovanni in Laterano - Lievin Cruyl

The artwork

Ideal for collectors, a sketch view of San Giovanni in Laterano by Lievin Cruyl, in pen and brown ink with brush and grey wash over graphite. The church is drawn from a distance, with the square in the foreground and the obelisk to the side. A carriage hurries across the square. The basilica of San Giovanni can be seen on the right-hand side of the picture.
