An original and very fine image depicting Danaë, painted by Titian.
Danaë is an oil painting on canvas (129x180 cm (50.8 x 70.9 in)) made in 1553 by the Italian painter Titian. It is kept in the Museo del Prado in Madrid.
Over the years Titian painted several versions of the myth of Danaë: this is the second, and it differs in several details from the first, kept in the Museo di Capodimonte in Naples.
