Original and luminous eighteenth-century depiction of the Punta della Dogana in Venice, painted by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. In the foreground there is the dock at Punta della Dogana, with boats passing nearby. The Grand Canal is very busy; in the background there is another island, and you can see the bell tower, the largest buildings, and the church. The sky is clear, with a few white clouds, but it's a fine day. The painting, an oil on canvas, is undated.
