Original and rare painting depicting the Chevres Caves, created by Jakob Philipp Hackert. The animals grazing in front of the cave entrance are prominent. The sheep are seated near the shepherds who are keeping watch. The cave entrance is located at the foot of a cliff, with vegetation above it, while on the left side there is a large tree, providing shade for the animals to shelter from the sun. At the foot of the painting there is an inscription in French and Italian.
