A luminous and original 18th-century painting depicting the Castello Sforzesco in Milan seen from the front, by Bernardo Bellotto. The castle dominates the landscape and is a landmark for the people of Milan. The castle walls, high and mighty, are prominent, while outside the walls there is a large courtyard with scenes of daily life. The sky is clear with a few white clouds on the horizon. There is another variant of this picture with different lighting.
