This work of contemporary realism stages a powerful visual anachronism, isolating the statuesque solemnity of two Carabinieri in full dress uniform within avant-garde architecture of organic, fragmented lines. The pictorial narrative rests on the contrast between the symbolic stability of the subjects and the fluidity of the surrounding space, where the crowd and the geometric structures fade into a palette of greys and powder blues. Through a skilful use of perspective and of the reflections on the gleaming floor, the artist elevates the institutional guard to an icon of permanence, turning the two soldiers into the silent custodians of a tradition that dwells, with steadfast dignity, at the beating heart of modernity.
