An original and rare 18th-century capriccio of a round church with a small square in front, painted by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. In the foreground there is the bridge and the church, not very large but meticulously detailed, with a fine painting on the upper front wall. Further in the background there are buildings, while the church is surrounded by walls. The dominant color of the painting is a pale, shaded pink. The sky is clear, tinged with pale blue and pink.
The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1753 approx. Another variant of this work by Canaletto exists.
