The artwork

Original and luminous eighteenth-century view of a capriccio of buildings in Whitehall, painted by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. Highlights include the small square in front of the building, with scenes of daily life, and an equestrian monument. On the left side, positioned transversely, there is the London palace, arranged in a square shape on two floors. The sky features light clouds on the horizon, but the day remains clear.

The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1754. The work is part of a private collection.
