Flower Field in Holland is an early painting by Vincent van Gogh, painted in the early 1880s during his Dutch period. The work depicts a broad flowering field in a flat landscape beneath a vast, luminous sky. The colours, still sober and natural, show the influence of realism and traditional landscape painting.
The orderly composition and the regular rhythm of the flowers express calm and harmony, revealing Van Gogh's attention to nature and rural life, observed with sensitivity and respect.
