A splendid and luminous depiction of the Borromean Islands, painted by Gaspare Vanvitelli. Located in the center of the painting, the islands are framed by small boats crossing the Tiber. On the right are two tall maritime pines, while the background is dominated by mountains and a clear morning sky.
The painting is undated; this piece is also part of the extensive production Vanvitelli created during his stays in Rome. The work is exhibited at the Galleria Corsini in Rome.
