A marvellous, bright view of the church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli in Venice, by Bernardo Bellotto. In the foreground on the left is the church, small and rectangular in plan. The access bridge is shown prominently, and in the far background San Marco can be glimpsed, with the bell tower and the dome of the Basilica. Closer by, along the Grand Canal, are the Venetian palaces. The canal is busy with boats coming and going, including some gondolas. A few clouds are gathering in the sky. One variant of this painting, dated 1741, exists.
