A distinctive and original side view of the Arch of Constantine, seen in perspective, in 18th-century Rome, by Lievin Cruyl. The Arch is drawn in a decaying Rome, with shrubs on the upper part of the walls. The bas-reliefs of the arch stand out; the sky is slightly cloudy. Another little-known detail is the working-class housing next to the arch, and the walls.
The artwork is on display at the Rijks Museum, Amsterdam.
