The saint is shown at half length, caught in a moment of silent meditation as she reads, a gesture alluding to the wisdom and spiritual depth of Catherine of Alexandria.

The delicate face, slightly tilted, is modelled by a soft light that enhances its gentleness and humanity. The painting is marked by soft chiaroscuro transitions and a warm palette, elements typical of Correggio's style. The absence of dramatic emphasis focuses attention on the figure's inner life, transforming the scene into an image of calm, refined contemplation, in which devotion and Renaissance sensibility merge harmoniously.

Unique quality material

Print on handmade Amalfi paper
Sheet size: 29 x 42 cm (11.4 x 16.5 in)
With frame: 31 x 44 cm (12.2 x 17.3 in)
Material: artwork printed on very fine handmade Amalfi paper with deckled edges
Frame: light brown beech wood and wood pulp, handmade

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY

The artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity, also on Amalfi paper, signed by the craftsman who made the print.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0768/3411/1829/files/Created_with_Frame_Up_on_2025-12-22_at_10_38_37_GMT.jpg?v=1766399952
