The epithet \u003cem\u003eScythica\u003c\/em\u003e, on the other hand, refers to operations against Scythian populations settled in the lower Danube area, where the legion was active in Moesia, probably based in Viminacium. With its reputation compromised, it was excluded from the victorious final phase of Corbulo's campaign.
